Reflexology is an ancient therapy, originated in China, and certainly used by the Egyptians. The therapist uses the hands to apply gentle pressure to the recipient's feet or hands.
How does Reflexology work? Reflexology is a science which deals with the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands relative to all organs, functions and parts of the human body. Applying pressure to these points can bring about amazing results. Reflexology relieves stress, normalises functions, balances the body and relieves pain.
Reflexology is more than a simple foot massage; it treats the entire body through applying pressure to reflexes in the feet which are linked to other parts of the body.
Every single cell in the body is gently stimulated to balance the body and so stimulating the body's own healing mechanism.
Benefits:
Improvement in energy levels
Relieves pain and promotes quicker healing after strains and injury
Improves circulation and lowers blood pressure.
Encourages body to heal current disorders.
Relaxes mind and body.
