You will need the ITEC Level 3 Holistic Massage Diploma or equivalent.
Both diplomas can be studied at the same time.

During the aromatherapy course you will learn to blend oils to treat a wide range of physical and emotional problems, for example:-

• Stress and anxiety related problems
• Muscular and rheumatic pains
• Digestive disorders
• PMT and menopausal complaints

Acupressure and lymphatic drainage techniques are included in the massage to aid toxin removal and deeper relaxation.

Syllabus includes:

• History & definition of Aromatherapy
• Massage with essential oils
• In depth study of 42 essential oils
• Extraction, countries of origin, therapeutic properties, use care and storage of essential oils, resins and absolutes
• Routes into the body for essential oils
• Blending and percentage guidelines
• Simple Botany/Chemicals of oils
• Skin care
• Treatment of specific diseases and disorders
• Holistic consultation and the therapeutic relationship
• Stress management
• Introduction to other therapies
• Counseling skills
• Importance of nutrition
• Professional presentation/promotion
• Code of Ethics and Practice

Small classes of 10 students.

You will need a massage and anatomy and physiology qualification to do this course. The ITEC Holistic Massage Course can be undertaken at the same time if you wish.

The course will include project work and case studies
